Math formulas don't work with manually input currency

Description
When you place the literal value $300 (or any $<#>) even if you set the format to currency, math formulas result in a #VALUE error.
Expected behaviour would be if something is formatted as currency and is a number preceded by the currency symbol that math formulas would work.
