Description
I'm currently using 0.35 as part of an n-body simulator, but I can see several new features appearing now that development has resumed that I may find useful. However, I am a bit stuck as to how to move from 0.35 to 0.40 and to async. Any advice?

Research direction
The issue names a migration from kiss3d 0.35 to 0.40 and to async, but it mentions no files, tests, or entry points. First review the release and migration changes between those versions and identify what guidance users need; done would be a clear, agreed migration path.
