Description

record twist inputs, and global pose in real world (pointlio)

replay the same policy with same twist inputs in simulation, show recorded global pose so we compare simulated body to actual body pose

example with GO2: https://discord.com/channels/1341146487186391173/1499980885636939956/1542223238069755974

best is 5-7 60-90 second recordings, wild controls, speeds directions in each recording, we are modeling robot response and policy behaviour

Research direction

The issue names Pointlio, twist inputs, global pose, simulation replay, and GO2 recordings but no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the existing Pointlio recording and simulation-replay paths, then establish how 5–7 varied 60–90 second recordings should capture pose and inputs. Done means the same policy can be replayed with recorded twists and simulated and real global poses can be compared.
