Description

I have added the filters of several upcoming surveys to FSPS (which work fine in Fortran programs) but I can't seem to figure out how to get python-fsps to build use my local sps_vars.f90 when installing so that it uses the correct number of filters.

Research direction

Start by tracing python-fsps's installation and build entry point to see how it selects the local sps_vars.f90. Reproduce the installation with the added FSPS survey filters, then verify that the Python bindings use the expected filter count; done means the local Fortran definitions are used successfully.
