Research direction
Start by locating the example canister's identity-provider form and reproduce the reported failure with identity.ic0.app, comparing it with icp0.io and the raw/non-raw choices. Done means an anchor using identity.ic0.app works in the example canister and the resulting principal behavior matches the stated derivation options.
