Description field has red "error" border by default

The behavior of most of the input boxes is that if you click out of a required field without entering information, it displays a red border to show that it is required.

The exception is the Description field, which displays a red border to start out with, and it's a disconcerting user experience -- it makes you feel like you've done something wrong from the start.

This is not a bug, but something that I would like to fix when we have time.
