Description
OSMCha has a "Verified Team" feature, allowing users to request that their team be added to a canonical list of official organizational accounts. This seems vital, especially for anyone associated with larger mapping initiatives.
At the moment the OSMCha approach requires users to open a github issue so that their team may be added to the verified team list. This requires maintenance from both the app creators and from the teams themselves.
On an OSMCha issue about this, mvexel writes:
> There is some thought being put into creating a JSON representation of organized editing teams, which could be hosted in a separate Github repository. Once that is settled we could pull the known teams in from there.
Could Teams have a special folder or highlighted file for the verified teams? And is there an approach that would allow for less manual verification of validated teams?

Research direction
Start by reviewing the existing team representation in this repository and the OSMCha issue referenced in the description. Compare the proposed JSON repository approach with the request for a highlighted or special team file, then define the verification workflow and an observable completion criterion before implementation.
