Description

As a follow up to conversation about Open Elections project (Development Seed looking to champion an effort to create a central online repository for global elections data). Next few weeks we will have to figure out the strategy and messaging of the Open Elections project. Pipeline includes data from Afghanistan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Tunisia.

Possible Strategies
1. Deliver data and do it quickly - hope the right groups come and find us (if you build it, they will come)
- Pros: easiest
- Cons: may not find the right groups
- ID local partner
- Pros: Legitimacy of having in-country partners
- Cons: May not be a suitable partner; NGOs can be sketchy, and hard to find the partner when we are not there (leads are Elieen, Andy, Wazhma)
- Local & international users help crowd source/assist the development of their stuff
- Pros: Big impact
- Cons: Time

Action Items
- [ ] Connect with DI/Lebanon partners on elections data
- [ ] Check out https://github.com/openelections - do we want to partner with these guys?
