Improve nightly email submission

It would be good to change the behavior of the end-of-night/submit nightlog button to indicate a state change when it was clicked. Currently there is no (visual) change to the page or the button until the nightlog has been sent and a brief text messages appears. Should be possible to either change the button color or text or to display a message when the process was started (ie after the click)
