VSCode EJS support - How can I get this to run on .ejs files?

The axe Accessibility Linter addon for VSCode doesn't seem to run on .ejs files. It runs fine on .html files.
Would greatly appreciate support for .ejs or anyone can tell me how I can enable it as the addon doesn't seem to have settings.
