VS Code extension downloads `axe-linter-server-macos` in `~/Downloads` directory

Hey everyone!

I know you are aware of this issue, but I think it's good to have a dedicated issue opened for this. This serves as a notice/documentation to other developers out there who got surprised the same way that I did.

tl;dr
This extension, when installed, downloads and runs `axe-linter-server-macos`, from `~/Downloads` directory.

I want to point out that this is the only extension I've ever encountered that does this. There's gotta be another way.
I don't enjoy having this file in my Downloads folder and I also don't remember approving of this download.
