Less confusing UI for buying items for a process

Right now you have to click on the image of an item and then purchase from the item page. We need to make it more clear how you're supposed to navigate to an item, and also separately need a way to buy required items without leaving the process

Start by tracing the current item-image navigation and the process flow that requires items. Compare how users reach an item page with the separate need to purchase required items without leaving the process. Done means the navigation is understandable and required items can be bought from the process.
