Omnia provides some convenience features like installing dependencies. These require root on the host platform. Some of the services Omnia configures operate over privileged ports. System/OS level dependencies and privileged port requirements could be enumerated and allowed individually by the user. This would enable Omnia to be installed in a non-root environment and Omnia could approach the 'principal of least privilege'.
Installing Omnia in a non-root environment and approaching the 'principal of least privilege' provides significant administrative advantages that I'm confident your favorite LLM can expand on.
