Description
I ran the example code under DeepSpeed/DeepSpeedExamples/applications/DeepSpeed-Chat/:
python train.py --actor-model facebook/opt-1.3b --reward-model facebook/opt-350m
received
Error building extension 'fused_adam'
Then I tried to install deepspeed with DS_BUILD_FUSED_ADAM=1 (https://www.deepspeed.ai/tutorials/advanced-install/ ), I still got
error: legacy-install-failure
which sounds like an environment error caused by cuda/gcc/pytorch version. Is there any suggested cuda/gcc/pytorch version for deepspeed ?
