Description
It's great tool to show how to build a chatgpt-like model based on some foundation models. I wonder could it support the encoder-decoder model, like Flan-T5? Could we just directly load those models and run these scripts on them? Thanks!

Research direction
Start by reviewing the existing example scripts and their model-loading path to determine whether they assume a decoder-only architecture. Compare those assumptions with Flan-T5's encoder-decoder structure, then define the required scope and tests for loading and running an encoder-decoder model. Done should be demonstrated by a working example or a documented conclusion about unsupported requirements.
