Description

I am wondering if it is possible to integrate LongVU with DeepSpeed framework.

The model setup, training and inference can be found in README.

git clone https://github.com/Vision-CAIR/LongVU
cd LongVU
conda create -n longvu python=3.10
conda activate longvu
pip install -r requirements.txt

You can easily download checkpoint from Huggingface and run our app.py for inference.

Please refer to more detailed training instruction, data usage in our github repo.

We sincerely appreciate your help for integrating LongVU with DeepSpeed.

Research direction

Start with LongVU's README and app.py, following the setup, training, inference, and checkpoint instructions provided in the issue. Then review DeepSpeed's integration and distributed-training entry points to determine the required scope. Done means a documented, working LongVU integration with an agreed training or inference path, but the issue does not specify which path to implement.
