Description

Is there an example on model parallelism we can follow, especially setting up the mpu? This is mostly for single machine, multi-gpu training, though we'd want to generalize it multi-machine training at some point in the future.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named; start by locating existing model-parallel and MPU examples in the repository. Done would be a documented single-machine, multi-GPU example, with any multi-machine generalization explicitly addressed.
