Create Git tags and releases for versioning

First, thank you for your excellent work on this project! It's a very valuable tool.

I am writing to respectfully request that you consider creating versioned **tags** and **releases** for the repository.
Creating official releases with Git tags would make the project much easier for the community to consume, test, and build upon.
