Feature Request: Notification counter in header for Workflow items

Description
A small notification counter on the Workflow item in the header would be really helpful, as there is currently no way for writers/collaborators/editors to see if there are posts waiting to be reviewed (unless they click through to the Workflow screen).
Should be an easy thing to add?
