@@ variables do not always get syntax highlighting

Description
select @@VERSION gets syntax highlighting but select @@TRANCOUNT does not
see
1. "Even though SOME @@ variables ARE syntax highlighted!" under
http://www.smooth1.co.uk/installs/dbinstalls.html#7.2.3 (Redhat)
and
2. "However SOME @@ variables do get syntax highlighting as on Redhat" under
http://www.smooth1.co.uk/installs/dbinstalls.html#9.1.1 (Ubuntu)
