Schema snapshot

Wondering if it's possible to view a snapshot of the current schema. If it's not already available, could this feature be added? Thinking along the lines of Rails's db/schema.rb. It's basically a read-only file useful for getting an overview of the current schema. It's auto-updated whenever migrations are run.
