Changing distributions

Hi David, hi Cristina,

I wanted to see if we can get better results by increasing the variance of the underlying worker type distribution. Unfortunately, the solver would not finish when I changed the variance, even for a small change. Do you know what could help to fix this? I tried changing the variance but keeping the variance of x and y the same, but this also doesn't work.

Start by reproducing the solver's failure with a small increase in the underlying worker type distribution variance, including the case where the variances of x and y remain equal. Trace why the solver does not finish; the issue is done when it completes for the changed distributions or clearly reports the limitation.
