Problem statement

Improve search handling, allow to convert entries to filters.

Proposed Solution

When searching in the general search box, the user should have the option to either jump the entry, OR add them as a filter.

Image

For example, the user can click on a data domain (or business term, tag, etc.) and jump to its details page. But there should also be an option to select the entry as a field filter, like customer domain:retail or customer tag:latest.

Research direction

Start at the general search box and trace how search results for data domains, business terms, and tags currently open their details pages. Done means a result can still be opened directly and can also be selected to create the corresponding field filter, such as customer domain:retail or customer tag:latest.
