Research direction

Reproduce the issue in darktable on Linux: sort the bottom grid by capture time, copy history while viewing an image, and paste the history. Trace the paste-history handling and the grid refresh or sorting path. Done means pasting history leaves the image order unchanged when capture-time ordering is selected.
