'darktable' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)

Describe the bug

This has been going for a while, after a system update about 2 months ago, i cannot open darktable anymore. The pop up window opens of darktable loading and then just closes. Opening it in the terminal shows SIGSEGV. (Arch Linux, nVidia 1080Ti, tried both normal darktable and darktable-git)

just tried - darktable with --configdir "/tmp" - gives the same error

Start by reproducing the SIGSEGV when launching darktable 5.5.0.r1124.gb8a2ee3529-1 on the reported Arch Linux and NVIDIA/OpenCL setup, using the attached backtrace as the first diagnostic source. Compare normal startup with --configdir "/tmp" and verify that darktable opens successfully without the crash once the cause is addressed.
