Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

It is very easy to inadvertantly scroll the mouse wheel whilse hovering the mouse over a drop down menu. I've found myself making changes that I hadn't realised that I'd made.

Describe the solution you'd like

Don't allow hovering to activate the drop down menus.

Alternatives

I tried taping over the mouse wheel but I need it for so many other software products that it was a problem.

Research direction

Start by tracing dropdown-menu handling in the lighttable modules, focusing on how mouse hovering and wheel input are processed. Review the existing issue discussion for expected behavior, then verify that hovering alone no longer activates menus while normal mouse-wheel use remains unaffected.
