5.4.1 - copy and pasted "crop" settings incorrectly crops to top left pixels

Describe the bug

I'm not sure why these files have issue reading, but just noticed it while going through my library.

I made a copy of the file, and it then can be read, but Darktable can't edit them.

• can't change exposure
• can't change lens correction

it's almost like it's in some sort of "read-only" state.

1. import DNG files
2. open in Darktable

Start with the reproduction details and the linked issue comment, then download the provided DNG files and reproduce the behavior in darktable 5.4.1 on macOS. Check why imported files cannot be edited and why copied crop settings produce a top-left crop. Done means the affected DNGs load normally, editing controls work, and crop settings are applied to the intended image area.
