Adding a single file to the library without opening it in the darkroom

The Export to collection does’nt work for me (see issue #20308), so I have to export my edited raw files to disk. And when I then add an exported Tif file to the library, it opens in the darkroom.
I know it’s the default behaviour for a single file, but what I want is only modify the file in an external editor, so I don’t need it to open in the darkroom. And even more, the Tif file gets automatically the basic adjustments applied in the darkroom, so I have to revert it to the original state before reopening the library.

What I'd like is to be able to add my exported Tif file to the library without opening it in the darkroom.

I imagine such a behaviour could also be helpful for other Darktable users. And this could maybe be an option in the settings of Darktable.

Start by reproducing the workflow: add a single exported Tif file to the library and observe that it opens in the darkroom and receives basic adjustments. Trace the single-file import behavior and consider the requested setting or alternative flow; done means the file can be added without opening in the darkroom or applying adjustments, while normal behavior remains unchanged.
