Homebrew will deprecate darktable on MacOS on 2026-09-01

Hey everyone, thanks a lot for this amazing project. I use MacOS and I install darktable via brew, since today I am getting a

Warning: darktable has been deprecated because it does not pass the macOS Gatekeeper check! It will be disabled on 2026-09-01.

I guess it is technically not a bug but if you could fix it it would be great for me and for everyone that uses MacOS

Start by reproducing the Homebrew installation on macOS 15 Sequoia and inspect the release artifact used for darktable 5.4.0. Determine why it fails the macOS Gatekeeper check and identify the project’s release or signing entry point; done means a Homebrew-installed release passes Gatekeeper and no longer receives the deprecation warning.
