Description
Is there an existing issue for this?
- I checked and did not find my issue in the already reported ones
Describe the bug
When adding a composite module layer, feint lines appear in a grid pattern.
I am using several iterations of the composite module at different opacities ie 50%, 33%, 25% etc to reduce high ISO noise, a grid becomes visible and more obvious as more overlays are added and the noise is reduced and then the image exposure is increased.
The lines are visible when "high quality processing" is toggled on or the image is viewed at 100%.
The grid lines persist in the exported image.
This happens whether or not I have "darktable preferences > processing > activate OpenCL support" checked or unchecked.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the composite module
- Add an image to overlay
- Increase exposure
Expected behavior
darktable should produce a clean image

Research direction
Start by reproducing the grid artifact in the composite module with the supplied ORF/XMP files, exposure increase, and high-quality processing enabled; compare behavior with OpenCL enabled and disabled. Review the attached video_driver.log, common.log, and opencl.log for relevant errors. Done means the exported image is clean and no grid appears at 100% view.
