Description

I just took a look at the pixls.us Darktable UI redesign thread: https://discuss.pixls.us/t/i-am-working-on-a-rebrand-for-darktable/44382/84

What is the agreed on approach for actually starting to implement these changes to Darktable? It'll definitely take more than CSS changes. I'd like to work on this at some point, but submitting PRs with changes to certain sections of the UI one at a time would end up with a pretty inconsistent looking UI until all work is finished.

Research direction

Review the linked pixls.us Darktable UI redesign thread first. This issue names no files, tests, or concrete UI changes; it needs an agreed scope and implementation entry points before a newcomer can start. Done would require a decided implementation approach rather than an individual UI edit.
