Description
Is there an existing issue for this?
- I checked and did not find my issue in the already reported ones
Describe the bug
When printing I can not get the print module to fill the available area.
Check picture below. There is space left, below and right. Even if the ratio is not right (it is !!!) it should touch one of those sides.
Deleting the canvas and making a new one does not help.
Nothing I do fixes it.
It just does not use the available space.
Steps to reproduce
Try to print a couple of images in various ratios. It happens very often.
Willing to share the image if that helps.
Expected behavior
Use the maximum of the available space

Research direction
Start by reproducing the print-module behavior in darktable 5.2.0 on Linux Mint with images of different aspect ratios, using the attached screenshots as reference. Investigate how the print module calculates the available area and verify the result against the expected behavior: the image should use the maximum available space and touch at least one printable edge.
