[request] Override altmode in mobile view

Hi,

Please could the ALTMODE variables be more granular? It defaults to false, however on mobile view, it still changes to altview. Please could you add something like ALTVIEWFALLBACK false, so we can prevent that view from showing up?

I'd much rather see 2-3 columns of square icons if possible.

Start by locating the ALTMODE handling and the mobile-view entry point. Check how mobile view switches to altview and how the icon layout is selected. Done means the fallback can be independently disabled and the requested mobile layout behavior is covered, with the project’s existing checks run if available.
