Description

Braille page numbers are particularly important for documents that will be produced in hard copy.

- Braille page numbers appear at the bottom right (last line) of a page (BANA).
- Braille page numbers appear at the top right (first line) of a page (UKAAF).
- The final digit of the number is in the last cell on the line.
- Some documents contain braille page numbers on every page.
- Some documents only contain braille page numbers on odd-numbered pages.
- There must be at least three spaces between the page number and any other text on the line.
- Transcriber-generated pages require a lower-case t immediately before the page number. (BANA)
- Front matter pages require a lower-case p immediately before the page number. (BANA)
- This issue needs more information re UKAAF and other braille authority requirements.
How can CSS be used to ensure that braille page numbers appear in the correct location?
