Description

Note, this is displaying the current print page number(s) in page header/footer.

- Print page number(s) may be shown in the page header/footer line.
- Print page numbers are particularly important for hardcopy, and particularly where reference to original print page numbers is needed for navigation (e.g. in education).
- Print page numbers may or may not be shown (often a transcriber decision).
- The number shown reflects the given print page numbers from the body text.
- (UKAAF): Print page numbers are shown top left - in the header line, separated by three spaces from the centred header text.
- (BANA): Print page numbers are shown top right, separated by three spaces from any preceding text.
- (UKAAF): the number shown is the print page number from the last line of body text on the page, even if there is a page turn midway through the page. No prefix letters are used for continuations.
- (BANA): Letters are prepended to the print page number for any continuation pages.
- What do other countries do?
What CSS (extension:) can be used to achieve this?
