Description

Windows OS version

Win11 Pro 24H2

ImageGlass version

9.4,1.15

ImageGlass release

Classic

1️⃣ Steps to reproduce

When I open jpg photo in Photoshop and Microsoft Photos - they look identical. When I open the same in ImageGlass - colors appears more saturated.
Also saw this in 9.3.2.520

2️⃣ Actual behavior
  1. open jpg photo in photoshop
  2. open the same jpg in Microsoft photo
  3. open the same jpg photo in ImageGlass
  4. compare them
  5. view from ImageGlass is distinctly more saturated than the other two
3️⃣ Expected behavior

I expect the views from at least Photoshop and ImageGlass to be virtually identical. I see here an easily discernable difference in the saturation/warmth of the colors between ImageGlass and either of the two other viewers. This forces me to redo the color adjustments in editing and now question whether I can even use ImageGlass going forward if it is actually changing the colors displayed. I've done this with a significant number of photos. Can this be resolved please ?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the report on Windows 11 using the attached sample JPG, comparing its rendering in ImageGlass, Photoshop, and Microsoft Photos. Investigate the image display path and color handling; done means the same photo has virtually identical saturation and warmth across the viewers.
