Description

System information
  • Windows OS version: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 64-bit
  • ImageGlass version: 9.1.6.14
  • ImageGlass release: Classic
To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open an image file with ImageGlass
  2. Close ImageGlass
  3. Open an image file again and there is a chance the welcome screen would pop up
Actual behavior
  • The original igconfig.json reverts itself to the default settings frequently
  • ImageGlass would show the welcome screen if it happens as if it is an new installation
Expected behavior
  • The igconfig.json should not revert itself

Additional context

The current workaround is to backup the igconfig.json and replace it in case it occurs. However, I am unsure when and why it occurs like once every week.

I am using Kobe-Light theme (installed under Program Files) and using Startup Boost and not sure if they are related to the issue.

I've included my igconfig.json here for reference.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reset on Windows 10 with the supplied igconfig.json, including the Kobe-Light theme and Startup Boost settings mentioned in the report. Trace when igconfig.json is replaced or regenerated and verify that settings persist across closing and reopening ImageGlass without showing the welcome screen.
