Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The toolbar and thumbnail menus are super useful but would it be possible to keep them hidden until you click the image or hover mouse over the edges of the screen(like the arrow buttons)?
Describe the solution you'd like
An option to open images with the menus hidden by default until you click the image once or hover over the edges. (I'm aware T and H are the shortcuts for showing/hidding the menus).

Research direction
No files or tests are named in the issue. Start by locating the toolbar and thumbnail menu entry points and the existing T/H visibility shortcuts, then trace how image clicks and screen-edge pointer movement are handled. Done means an option can keep both menus hidden by default and reveal them through the requested interactions.
