It seems when adding crafted items where components can be created by combining items or breaking apart items, the most basic component is listed in place of as opposed to along-side the final crafting component once added. For instance, take an enchant that uses Large Prismatic Shards. Once added, the Large Prismatics aren't displayed and instead Void Crystals are shown. This likely has something to do with Sunwell Plateu's release add Void Shatter which lets you split Void Crystals, but that doesn't exist at the moment.

Admittedly a somewhat cherry picked example, but similar happens with recipes requiring Arcane Dust where it will list Arcane Crystals instead. Though that recipe is in game, but rarely more advantageous.
