Description

Recently purchased some Gosund WP3s from Amazon to flash over to Tasmota.

I took one of four apart to poke around and connect VCC, GND, TX, RX, and IO0 correctly as so many guides have pointed out, but the chip I found in the WP3 modules looks very different from the guides I see online. I don't see IO0 anywhere in this device either.

Does anyone know how to handle this version of the WP3? I don't think this is ESP based.

Research direction

The issue names no repository file, test, or entry point. Begin by identifying the WP3 hardware revision and whether it uses ESP hardware, then compare that with the project's supported flashing paths. Done means confirming a flashing method or incompatibility for this hardware version and documenting the evidence.
