The pacman doesn't disappear after closing the app

When I run the app (Appimage on Ubuntu), a red pacman appears in the upper right corner :) But when I close the app, it doesn't disappear. After two re-launches, I now have three pacmans:


Reproduce the issue by running the AppImage on Ubuntu, closing the app, and relaunching it to confirm that multiple red pacmans remain. Trace the desktop application's shutdown handling and pacman or tray-icon lifecycle; done means the icon disappears when the app closes and does not accumulate across launches.
