Unwind `{{hover}}` pattern

### What's Wrong?

I'm currently trying to update all the examples in a long page of documentation. Every time I touch an example in a way that changes its length I have to go find up to tens of `{{hover}}` references and update them. It's incredibly painful.

The `{{hover}}` tags are neat, but I think the pain they add to docs maintenance outweighs the value they add to the reader. I'd like to unwind the pattern.
