Description

If you're logged in with a client account in Craft Client edition, you can upgrade to Craft Pro if you have a nag alert saying you're running an unlicensed edition, but not if you click on the link in the footer to try and upgrade (it's not clickable).

If you do the upgrade while logged in with a client account and you're on a "non-public" domain, the link in the footer still isn't clickable so you can't even use the normal trial features.

Craft 2 & 3.

Research direction

Reproduce the upgrade flow from a logged-in client account in Craft Client edition, comparing the nag alert with the footer upgrade link on a non-public domain. Done means the footer link is clickable and the normal trial features remain usable after upgrading to Craft Pro.
