Description
In the current wording for flat container adaptors, sometimes "empty" is used as a verb (in the form "emptied"). This seems somehow unconventional and inconsistent with empty functions in the standard library.
Should we switch to use "cleared" for the consistency with clear functions?

Search the draft sources for the current wording about flat container adaptors and compare it with the standard library's uses of “empty” and “clear.” Done means deciding whether the wording should use “cleared” and applying that terminology consistently where appropriate.
