Description

https://github.com/cplusplus/draft/blob/1c22d62180901069128b21daa2773d40566bd983/source/classes.tex#L2585-L2587

A conversion function is a non-static member function, so the default assumption is that it can be virtual. Is it important for this paragraph to be normative, or can it be a note?

If it was a note, should it include the index entry?

Research direction

Read source/classes.tex at lines 2585-2587 and review the surrounding wording about conversion functions. Determine whether paragraph 8 should remain normative or become a note, and whether the index entry is still needed; done means the editorial decision and resulting wording are recorded.
