call is not happening through coturn if we disable the P2P option in element web under user settings

Hi team,

i observed the below during coturn implementation.

1. Call is not happening through coturn if we disable the P2P option in element web under user settings.

2. Call works even if we don't enable the turn URIs in the synapse configuration. which means without coturn the calls were happening when we enable the P2P option in element web.

3. By disabling the P2P option in the element web and enabled the coturn on the synpase end. Coturn logs were getting generated but calls are happening.

This seems to be some abnormal behavior, because without coturn also calls are happening when we enable the P2P option the element UI.
similarly without P2P option calls are not connecting through coturn, but coturn logs were getting generated.

Could you please tell me, is it the right behavior of coturn?
