Description
Hi, I'm seeing for some of my sessions, the channel of peak activity differ from that of the template (see attached for example). I've looked at previous posts but the solutions posted there (use dev env and set show_mapped_channels = False) didn't solve my problem. Curiously, this mismatch only happens on some sessions but not all, even though they were recorded with the same probe and configuation, and ran on the same ecephys pipeline. Do you think this could be a bug, or perhaps an issue with my recording stability on some sessions? Really appcreciate any help!

Research direction
No source files or tests are named. Start by reproducing the mismatch with the attached waveform and template examples, using the same probe, configuration, and ecephys pipeline described in the report. Compare how peak-activity and template channels are selected across matching and non-matching sessions; done means the cause is isolated and the behavior is fixed or clearly documented.
