Description

Recent changes in bootupd broke functionality in https://github.com/osbuild/bootc-image-builder and https://github.com/osbuild/image-builder-cli.

As bootupd takes an increasing important place, we should try to catch those issue earlier and expand our coverage.

Research direction

Review the existing CI configuration in bootupd and determine how it can exercise bootc-image-builder and image-builder-cli against bootupd changes. Define the jobs and integration coverage needed to catch regressions in those consumers, then verify that the CI runs successfully for relevant changes.
