Local openai LLM assistant option removed

Description

Since the beginning, we have been recommending Continue as the official way of connecting Helmholtz Blablador to VSCode and JetBrains, as it works perfectly with OpenAI endpoints, for our couple thousand users.

One of the places where I actively advertise continue is on my courses of "introduction to deep learning on supercomputers", which I do around 10 times a year.

It was always simple to add Blablador: Find the option of openai-compatible endpoints, point to our server, get an api token, off you go.

This option disappeared. One can add local models, or commercial ones, but not OpenAI-compatible servers on companies, as we do for the whole German Academia.

Sure, you can still add the config.json file, but this is much more cumbersome than having an option on the assistant.

I am finding difficulty in understanding the rationale for such removal of openai-compatible servers from the selection list on the assistant.

To reproduce

Delete ~/.continue
Uninstall/Install continue
Try to add an endpoint.
