Description
There was an attempt in #290; including some attempts to add compilers to the global pinning (c.f. https://github.com/conda-forge/conda-smithy/pull/2133 & https://github.com/conda-forge/conda-forge-pinning-feedstock/pull/6686). This can almost certainly be done less intrusively. Opening this issue to keep track of this, and keep a visible reference to #290
